Aspiring to achieve first-class research results, the Institute of Digital Economy and Green Development at Zhejiang International Studies University is rooted in the fertile ground of digital economy and green development practices in Zhejiang Province with four research directions, namely “Industrial Digitization and Green Development”, “Smart Governance and Green Development”, “Digital Trade and Green Development”, and “Digital Economy and Overseas Investment”.
The institute focuses on the convergence of digital economy and green development, aiming to promote the high-end, intelligent, and green transformation of traditional industries. It provides new driving forces for the high-quality development of the economy in Zhejiang and even the whole country. Its members have published 10 authoritative papers and have undertaken 6 national-level projects and 13 provincial-level projects.
According to the internationally recognized Essential Science Indicators, a research paper titled “Does the application of industrial robots overcome the Solow paradox? Evidence from China”, authored by Du Longzheng from the institute, was published online in Technology in Society in February 2022. By December 2022, it had become a highly cited paper, ranking among the top 1% in the field of Social Sciences, general, based on the high citation threshold corresponding to the field and publication year.
According to a report from the WeChat official account “Kung Fu Econometrics” on June 2, 2022, titled “Recent Five Years: Which Papers in Economic Research Journal have the Most Citations?”, Du Longzheng’s paper ranks 60th in terms of the citations. Additionally, Song Shuli’s paper has been included in the list of the “Top 200 Most Influential Academic Papers in Chinese Political Economy (2020-2022)” released by the research team of the “Academic Impact Evaluation of Chinese Political Economy Report (2020-2022)” at Wuhan University.
